Schwartz® ABS Y5 DS is a premium heavy-bodied and fast-setting ABS solvent cement for all classes and schedules with interference fit through 12″ (315 mm) diameter. The high visibility yellow color ensures accurate application and simplifies visual inspection on the job.
Y5 gives contractors working in low-rise, multi- and single-family residential environments confident results every time. Designed for maximum efficiency and reliability, this high-performance cement is engineered for use on a wide range of ABS pipe and fittings.

Set Times:
Handle newly assembled joints carefully until cement has gone through its set period.
Recommended set time is temperature dependent:
- 1-2 minutes at 21ºC to 32ºC
- 3-4 minutes at 10ºC to 21ºC
- 5-6 minutes at -1ºC to 10ºC

It is recommended that joints be left for 24 hours to cure before use, while large sizes 10″ and 12″ require a minimum of 48 hours.
Storage:
Store indoor at room temperature, away from heat, ignition sources, open flames and direct sunlight.
Warning:
Avoid open flames, turn off all pilot lights, ensure that work area is properly ventilated.
Soiled rags and waste products may contain combustible liquids or vapours and SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST, dispose in accordance with local regulations.
